Family: Eucalyptus
Eucalyptus is a genus of more than 700 species of ever green flowering plants in the family Myrtaceae. Most species of Eucalyptus are single main stem or trunk trees, often mallees, and a few are shrubs, and are native to Australia, every state and territory has representative species. About three-quarters of Australian forests are eucalypt forests. Eucalypts vary in size from shrubs to tall trees approaching 200 feet.
